DAY 1 – AUCKLAND TO PAIHIA
Kia ora! Nau mai, haere mai ki Aotearoa! Hello and welcome to New Zealand –The Land of the Long White Cloud!
After our 8am welcome breakfast, we’ll kick off our tour with a leisurely scenic drive to the subtropical “Winterless North”. The Northland region is home to some seriously ancient and impressive kauri forests. We’ll stroll through the largest of these – the Waipoua Forest – to meet Tane Mahuta, the hugest of them all. At over 1,250 years old and over 51 metres tall, he’s looking pretty good for his age. We’ll also visit Hokianga Harbour, unique for its 150 metre high sand dunes. When the weather’s fine and the tides are on our side, you’ve got the option of sandboarding down into the beautiful water – it’s an unforgettable experience worth the cheap and cheerful price!
We reach the town of Paihia, the jewel of the Bay of Islands, in the early evening. As the sun sets, we’ll treat you all to a fish and chips feast overlooking the water. It doesn’t get more Kiwi than that!
DAY 2 – PAIHIA
With more than 140 sub-tropical islands dotted around the coastline, how will you spend your day in the Bay?
Hitting the water is the best way to enjoy the coves and beaches of this corner of paradise, and the options are endless. Cruise through a natural rock archway, explore the ocean floor on a scuba mission, sail in search of the local dolphins (or even swim with them!), or snorkel your way around beautiful islands. Check out our awesome add-ons for ideas or hit up your guide for inspiration. For an epic day out, take a road trip to Cape Reinga – the northernmost tip of New Zealand – to see where the Tasman Sea and Pacific Ocean collide. It’s an unforgettable sight. Thrill-seekers – you’ll have the chance to fly high above the ocean on a parasailing adventure. Or hire a kayak, sail boat or stand-up paddleboard and check out the Bay of Islands from sea level.
Whatever you choose, you’ll have epic stories to swap with your travel buddies tonight as the sun sets on an awesome day.
DAY 3 – PAIHIA TO AUCKLAND
Today, discover the Bay of Islands’ important role in New Zealand’s history with a trip to the Waitangi Treaty Grounds. We love bringing you here, it’s a truly unforgettable insight into Maori culture. The 35-metre carved waka (ceremonial war canoe), the world’s biggest, is a must-see.
After lunch we say goodbye to the Bay. We make time for a very special rest stop in Kawakawa to check out the grass-roofed, mosaic-covered, cobblestoned Hundertwasser Toilets. There’s even a living tree in there. There are some beautiful waterfalls around the area, if you know where to look – and we certainly do! So we’ll stop off at one of them, depending on the weather and what your Haka Guide’s favourite spot is. We head back to Auckland via Northland’s east coast, which boasts stunning beaches and coastal walks. Be sure to have your swimwear handy – if time permits, your Haka Guide will take you to some of their top locations!
After an epic day, we reach the bright lights of the City of Sails in the early evening.

Day 1 (Dinner)
Your Outback Journey of a Lifetime starts at 6am from Alice Springs or around 1pm pickup at Ayers Rock Airport. We enjoy a fascinating road-trip to Uluru! Once the whole group is together, we explore the Cultural Centre, do a guided walk at Uluru, and enjoy a spectacular Uluru sunset with bubbly wine. Day 2 (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)
An early start with breakfast before going to Kata Tjuta, for a stunning Uluru sunrise. Hike through the Valley of the Winds, with a refreshing lunch to make it the perfect morning. Then travel through the Outback, viewing the George Gill Range and more, before camping at Kings Creek Station. After breakfast experience the incredible Kings Canyon, and hike around the famous Rim Walk. Take in the peaceful desert oasis, the Garden of Eden. Then it’s a sleepy trip back to Alice Springs.

There is no set itinerary for this tour. Each trip will be planned around the weather conditions, tides and the groups desires. Below is a list of what we could offer and where we could go. Please note that we will always visit Whitehaven Beach, Hill Inlet Lookout, multiple snorkelling locations, bush-walk and of course do some sailing!
- Lots of sailing and match-racing between the Prosail maxi yachts
- Up to 4 snorkel sites – we choose the best site and timings based on the weather and tides
- Explore both the North and possibly the South end of Whitehaven Beach, visiting two different lookouts
- Up to 2 bush-walks ranging from 20 minutes to 3 hours
- Sunset beach hangs – our favourite spots are Langford Island Sand Spit, Scrubhen Beach & Chalkie’s Beach
- In the evenings, chill on deck with our crew and your new mates, have a few drinks, stargaze and then let the calm water gently rock you to sleep.

Driving in land as well as along 75 mile beach
Day 1
The day is finally here, the first day of your awesome Fraser Island adventure with Palace. We’ll depart from Nomads Noosa Backpackers nice & early at 6.30am. After we get your luggage into storage, you’ll be heading towards Rainbow Beach where you’ll be arriving after a 1.5-2hr drive. We stop here to collect our food and the 4WD’s and that’s it: we’re on our way to amazing Fraser Island. If departing from Rainbow beach, we will collect you from the BP Petrol station at 9am,
Before you hop on the ferry there will be an opportunity to purchase your alcohol and any snacks you wish to take.
We take the ferry from Rainbow Beach and land at Hook Point on the Southern tip of Fraser Island approximately 10 min later.
Stay overnight in your tents.
Day 2
Your second day means another early start so you get to make the most of your time on the island! After breakfast (continental style breakfast – cereal, toasts, spread, tea & coffee), we continue your adventure on Fraser
Stay overnight in the same camp site.
Day 3
Today, after breakfast we continue on our travels and after lunch, it’s time to leave the island. A brief stop at Rainbow Beach before driving back to Nomads Noosa arriving anytime betwen 3.00 – 5.30pm to check back in for your Post nights and get ready for your post-tour party at KB’s bar. An amazing end to an amazing trip! Alternatively if you are leaving the tour in Rainbow beach we can drop you in town.
