About

Departing Melbourne we travel first to the multi-award-winning Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park, where you’ll enjoy a guided tour of the extensive exhibits, learning about a wide array of Australian fauna. Hand-feed kangaroos & wallabies and perhaps cuddle a koala (additional fee applies).

Arriving on Phillip Island, we pay a visit to historic Churchill Island to explore an 1850’s heritage farm with strutting peacocks, shaggy Highland cattle, traditional draft horses, sheep shearing & working dogs in action.

We then travel to the south-west tip of Phillip Island to view the Nobbies and Australia’s largest Fur Seal colony at Seal Rocks.

Finally, we make our way to Summerland Beach for the highlight of the show. Watch hundreds of Little Penguins emerging from the ocean and waddling across the beach to their homes among the dunes. Explore the spectacular new Visitor Centre to learn more about our feathered friends before commencing the journey back to Melbourne..

Connect with our passionate group of rangers combining an educational wildlife experience and cooked delicious full cooked breakfast in a stunning setting.

We cant wait to welcome back our guests to our ‘breakfast experience’ hosted our ranger team. Meet and Greet with our Australian animals and some special ones you won’t forget including Harry the Southern Hairy nosed wombat and Pebbles our female koala – and learn about Amaroo our new addition who is a rescue koala from south east Queensland. Plus our other favourite animals.

This interactive experience is about education, sustainability principles and importantly connecting with our team of great people and their passion for the wildlife and Magnetic Island.

The ranger cooked breakfast is set within an outdoor area amongst native trees and a scene typical to outback Australia. We have met all covid guidelines and welcome you to sit back and let us showcase our island home.

  • Breakfast is held 8:30am to 10am
  • Bookings essential with limited guest numbers.

Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary with 1-Way Cruise Transfer (LP to City)

The Koala and River Cruise is a ONE WAY journey back to Brisbane from Lone Pine along the Brisbane River to our drop off point, the Cultural Centre Pontoon.

You’ll board Mirimar II at the Lone Pine jetty, with boarding starting from 1.45pm  The return trip to the city departs Lone Pine Jetty at 2.15 pm sharp arriving back at the Cultural Centre Pontoon at 3.30pm.

We begin our day with a stop at the Phillip Island Koala Reserve, where you’ll be making some new friends with our local Australian animals as you’re taken on a guided ranger walk through the woodland. Famous for its natural beauty, stunning beaches, rugged cliffs, and unique wildlife it’s then to the western end of the island to the Nobbies. Experience the majestic rocky coast and views of an Australian fur seal colony and spot wild wallabies and native birds on a back road journey to the main show at the Penguin Parade.
