Take the journey into the Queenstown backcountry with our breath-taking kayak experience to the stunning Moke Lake. Located just 20 minutes from Queenstown this quiet and peaceful setting allows you to escape the hustle and bustle of town and immerse yourself in a beautiful rural New Zealand environment surrounded by mountains.

One of our friendly kayak guides will pick you up from Queenstown and drive you in comfort to Moke Lake. Along the way you’ll get a knowledgable (perhaps even funny) commentary about the local region and feel free to ask any questions.

Once at Moke Lake we’ll run through a few safety features and let you paddle off at your own pace! When you return we’ll have a few kiwi refreshments waiting for you.

  • Trips are suitable for first-time kayakers but you must know how to swim. If English is not your first language no problem, but you MUST be able to understand our safety briefing.


Stand Up Paddle & 4WD Beach Day Tour

Take a thrilling Noosa Stand Up Paddle Adventure to Sunshine Coast’s hidden tropical wildlife paradise, Double Island Point. The spectacular wind swept coloured sand cliffs protect many of the flat water lagoons and much of Honeymoon Bay making for an ideal natural environment to explore and experience the local wildlife on a guided stand up paddle lesson.

Can only be accessed by 4X4 along Teewah Beach around the low tide and the location is typically remote, uncrowded and perfect for stand up paddling with crystal clear flat water lagoons and a super long sandy point break ideal for beginners, intermediate and advanced looking to take the next step into the waves. If you’re already well advanced in stand up paddling then why not come and explore the magical waters of Honeymoon Bay in Noosa’s pristine Great Sandy National Park.

Expect to see many of the local wildlife on your Noosa stand up paddle adventure with many turtles (Six of the world’s seven marine turtle species can be found here) often seen feeding and resting in the clear shallows of the lagoons and ocean are the Green Sea turtle, Loggerhead and Hawksbill turtle. Rays, Bottlenose dolphins, many different bird species, Humpback whales (over 35000 to pass this season) and soldier crabs in their thousands are also all frequent here.

Adventure Moreton Island Day Pass

Explore Tangalooma Island Resort and the Tangalooma Shipwrecks at your own leisure with the use of Kayaks, Stand-Up Paddleboards and Snorkel Equipment. This is amazing value which you won’t find elsewhere.

Spend the day exploring the crystal clear waters and the Tangalooma Shipwrecks at your own pace with kayak, stand up paddleboard and snorkeling equipment hire. As well as the watersports offered, there is an abundance of land activities to keep you busy! From various beach sports to mini golf, basketball and tennis – you won’t be kicking your feet up until you’re on the ferry on your way home!

Itinerary

  • 7:00am Check in at Tangalooma Wharf (220 Holt St, Pinkenba)
  • 8:00am Ferry departure
  • 9:15am Arrive at the resort and meet AMI Team at the end of
  • the jetty
  • 9:30am Go on tours/activities and enjoy your day
  • 3:30pm Check in at ferry departure zone
  • 4:00pm Return ferry departure departs
  • 5:15pm Arrive back at Tangalooma Wharf

PRE-EXISTING MEDICAL CONDITIONS

Participation in some of our tours and activities is physically demanding and may pose a health or safety risk. For your safety, you must disclose if you are suffering from any injury, or pre-existing medical condition (such as, but not limited to, epilepsy, asthma or cardiovascular conditions) which may interfere with your ability safely participate in our services. Some medical conditions require physicians/doctors approval to be able to participate in our tours and activities. Note: If you do have asthma, you are required to bring your Ventolin with you to be able to participate in the tour. PREGNANCY

If you are pregnant, participating in any Watersports activities or tours with Tangatours will require your physicians/doctors’ approval in writing. Please bring a medical certificate with you on the day, or email prior to arrival.

Cancellation Policy:

If you decide to cancel your tour, refunds will not be permitted.

Requests for reschedule:

  • More than 48 hours prior to travel date – $20 pp fee
    • Less than 48 hours prior to travel date – 100% cancellation fee
    • No Show – 100% cancellation fee
