Byron Bay Whale Watching Safari

Come Whale Watching with an experienced professional crew on our purpose built vessel “Apollo 2” in the magical pristine waters of Byron Bay (May – November).

Our trips are intimate and personalised with a maximum of 12 customers per tour. It is highly likely that we will encounter several whales each tour and also other marine creatures such as dolphins, turtles and migratory seabirds as we explore the Cape Byron Marine Park. We operate daily tours for the adventurous at heart on our purpose built boat “Apollo 2”, 12 padded seats and powerful engines for safety, speed and comfort.

Tours operate from the Brunswick heads Marina just 15 mins from Byron bay. unfortunately our shuttle service is temporarily unavailable due to covid restrictions.


Snorkel at Julian Rocks Marine Sanctuary

Snorkel with Turtles , manta rays, leopard sharks and more at Julian Rocks Marine sanctuary! Jump on board Apollo 2 our purpose built dive boat for a fast and exciting trip to the rock! Guides and all gear provided.

Julian Rocks Marine Sanctuary is rated as one of the best dive sites in Australia. “Nguthungulli” the local Arakwal name for this incredible place, offers protected safe and shallow waters perfect for snorkelling and freediving. Sitting off the most easterly point of Australia, Julian rocks is a convergence point of warm tropical and cooler temperate waters, making it a marine wildlife hotspot!

Whales, Dolphins, Manta Rays, Leopard Sharks, Grey Nurse Sharks and Turtles are all common visitors. Its a perfect environment for snorkelling and freediving with prolific fish life and multiple areas to explore.

Enjoy the sights of the Byron coastline onboard our comfortable purpose built vessel, we often encounter local dolphins and other marine life on the way to Julian Rocks. Humpback whales are a daily sight from June-November.

Tours operate from the Brunswick heads Marina just 15 mins from Byron Bay.

Our guides are kayakers, surfers, self proclaimed local historians and excellent watermen. With that in mind, you can relax and be guided around Byron Bay in our two person, sit-on-top-style sea kayaks, that are designed for ease of operation and stability. No prior experience is necessary.

Your safety and enjoyment are our priorities. We supply all safety gear: lifejackets, helmets, and wetsuits (if necessary) and free pick-up from your accommodation.
