Join us on a journey to Fitzroy Island, just 45 minutes from beautiful Cairns.

With full and half day tours available, you can choose how long you stay on the island to swim, snorkel and explore all that it has to offer. Fitzroy Island is on the fringe of the Great Barrier Reef and boasts some of Australia’s most stunning coral, accessible right off the beach.

Full Day tour:

• Up to 6.5 hours to explore Fitzroy Island
• Depart Cairns 8:30am – Depart Fitzroy 4:00pm

Half Day tour:

• Over 2 hours to explore Fitzroy Island
• Depart Cairns 10:45am – Depart Fitzroy 2:00pm

Options:

• Snorkel Hire: Hire snorkel gear and explore the fringing coral reefs in both Welcome Bay and Nudey Beach, with hard and soft corals only meters from the shore. Flotation vests & lycra suits are included.
• Glass Bottom Boat: Stay dry and book a ride around the island to see some of the best coral reefs around the island. Spot sea turtles and colorful fish as you are guided by our expert staff.
• Snorkel Safari Tour: Our Snorkel Safari is suitable for those comfortable in the water and competent snorkellers. Exclusive access to areas not accessible to other guests. A boat will drop guests and our Marine Biologist off at one of the abundant coral reefs Fitzroy Island has to offer. A great introduction to the reef with commentary. 50 minute tour Including snorkelling equipment, lycra suits and vests.
• Picnic Lunch: Freshly prepared picnic lunch by Ochre Restaurant & Tropic Spirit Catering. Baguettes or Wraps plus all options come with a piece of Seasonal fruit, Muesli fruit bar and bottle of water. • Snorkel Experience Tour: Our friendly and expert marine biologists will take a small group out to visit some of the abundant coral reefs Fitzroy Island has to offer. Straight from the beach, our guide will take the group out for an approx 35 minute snorkel tour and all equipment is supplied. A perfect introduction for first time snorkellers.
